Oct. 15th, 2007 08:04 pmIs it kind of douchey of me that I sort of want Dean to go to Hell? I mean, at this point, anything short of that is going to be anticlimactic, isn't it? Mostly I think I want the Deathbed Drama to end all Deathbed Dramas but Hell's got to follow that, doesn't it? Not that I'm saying I actually want to see Hell because given the fact that this show is on network and has a piss-poor budget you could never really Hell it up in a good way and it would just be corny and awful. And you know, some things are best left to the imagination. But if Dean gets bailed out of his deal then what's left? No no no, someone's got to take that express elevator, going down.
Did any of you ever see Angel Heart with Mickey Rourke? That was the scariest frigging movie ever made about anyone selling their soul. Gory as hell, too. Heh, hell.
I also want more scenes of Dean sleeping. Season One was full of them. I should do a list. Dean sleeping on his stomach. Dean sleeping on his back. Dean sleeping shirtless. Dean sleeping in little black shorts. Season Two, nada and no, the coma doesn't count.
The beating Dean takes at PossessedSam's hands in "Born Under a Bad Sign" is one of the best ever. Best part? When Sam digs his hands into Dean's bullet wound and Dean clutches Sam's wrist to try and get him off and Sam grabs Dean's hand and just hurls it off with such contempt. Kudos to both of them for such a beautifully choreographed scene. Go watch it. In slow motion. Also really enjoyed Dean's photegenic nosebleed and the blood on his teeth. Nice touch. Second best thing was Dean, later, holding an ice pack to his face. For what?? The man barely has a mark on him, even after a pounding from PossessedSam that should have left all his teeth on the floor...at the least. This guy! "Strapping" indeed. My dictionary defined "strapping" as "displaying extraordinary constitution," and boy, ain't that the truth.
I need to stop drinking at dinner. Is anyone even listening to me anymore? Were you ever? You think it's easy being the nuttiest person in the room? It's not.
