Apr. 26th, 2008 01:08 pmHere are some of my favorite current events stories from this week. And by "favorite," I mean, "stories that make me want to blow my brains out."
At the urging of conservatives, the government has sunk $1.3 BILLION dollars into a laughably backward sex non-education program that teaches "abstinence only." Well, the numbers are in and guess what? IT'S NOT WORKING. But who cares about things like "statistics?" We don't need no stinkin' scientists tellin' us how to raise our kids!
I love it when the "real men" who drove us into Iraq with their tough-guy hard-ons for war and torture get put on the spot and show what they're really made of. This week, former Bush Attorney General, torture-policy architect and legendary singing patriot John Ashcroft LOST HIS SHIT when he was brutally interrogated by...A twenty-year-old college student.
And in other news, John McCain is still a fucking idiot.
All I have to say is THANK GOD FOR KITTENS.
