If you're on Internet Explorer and you're getting an "Operation Aborted" message when you try to open certain websites, it's not you, it's them. Apparently any site that uses SiteMeter for web tracking is crashing on IE following a SiteMeter update on Friday afternoon. Read more here.

My beloved CuteOverload.com is one of the affected sites so I hope they fix it fast! Or I could just install Firefox, which is supposedly unaffected.

I love FF! You should definitely give it a try. ;-)

I'm on Firefox right now, and it's fine. You should install it. I think you'd really like it.

Sigh. My cherished paranoid corporate employer has blocked Cute Overload. What a bunch of fascist weirdos we have in our IS dept.

I think looking at anerable l'il doggies and kitties and whatnots should be required at work. It would calm everybody down.

I installed it but don't see much difference between it and IE. I prefer the URL bar and Favorites tab on IE (the latest version) so I think I'll just keep Firefox as an alternative.

A day doesn't go by that I don't want to see C.O.!

What do you like about it? I don't see much difference between it and IE but maybe I need to configure it?

Well, mostly just the fact that I 'crash' and lose connectivity so much less with FF than with IE. FF also seems to run much faster for me than IE does and I have found that some web pages look better (better alignment?) in FF as well.
