I do think that was on purpose about Sam's coldness, and I'm a bit afraid about it. Sam vs. Dean, everybody?
I do think this is where they are heading, and have basically been heading throughout the series. Honestly, if they do it right it could be unbelievably awesome. And if the premiere was any indication, they're heading in the right direction.
