Yeah, that sucks donkey balls, doesn't it? I live in LA and the writers' strike had a huge financial impact; I shudder to think what another strike would do. I couldn't believe they got the same idiotic, lame duck federal mediator that failed with the WGA talks. And now there's talk that SAG leadership wants to call a strike in time to screw over January's Golden Globes and then, the Academy Awards. Could just be posturing to scare the studios (like Uriel threatening Dean with hell *g*) but I dunno, SAG's leadership has to save face now and I think they'll really push their membership to strike. Hopefully, since they need 75% of respondents voting in favor, the actors will be worried enough about the economy to say no.
