Thank you for the correction. I will fix it. Please understand that I didn't intend to be misleading, nor did I mean that as any sort of disparagement of Planned Parenthood -- quite the opposite. I'm sure the misconception is widespread because women who can afford it can usually go to a private-practice gynecologist for regular care, while lower income women don't have this option. The $36,000 that PP was getting from Virginia was primarily made up of Medicaid reimbursements, not any direct "funding." And I'm sure that the shutdown of Planned Parenthood facilities due to lack of such reimbursements will hit lower-income women the hardest.
