Oh yeah, it was really common for these guys to ingratiate themselves with the kids' families -- and these people were all good Catholics who were so happy to have their parish priest taking their son or daughter under his wing. They even used to take these kids on vacations sometimes...that sick fuck who raped so many kids up in Boston had a cabin where he used to take kids away for entire weekends and the parents would just let them go, thinking it was wonderful. Can you imagine what those kids had to endure knowing that their parents were obliviously serving them up to these predators and not being able to say anything about it?
