I know, right! I didn't know how you'd come up with Asher or if it was related to ben Asher (sometimes Ben-Asher). The whole family of ben Ashers apparently was responsible for like five generations of scribing O.T. texts (c. 10th century) and they were also members of this group that started as the original Jews (I'm pretty sure) but became an outsider group called Karaites and of course the disagreement between the groups was the interpretation of God and prophets' words/law. And from Tiberias! None of which directly relates at all, exactly! But I did think it was weird and all religio-spooky interesting and it made me wonder.
OoOOOh! That books looks fantastic! I love that the subtitle is "Including the Fallen Angels". (Thank you, book!) I just ordered it and thank you so much for the rec! Heh. Cool. It'll give me some good reading for the summer hiatus. MMmm. Angel of Thursday.
