Oh man. This story just swallows me up. Going back into it is like jumping back down into the pit again--in the best way, of course. I'm going to read it again tomorrow at work. Probably after dreaming about it all night.

I have to agree about the snarky demons. The best ones on the show are the demons or creatures that might have wit, but they're not just snarky.
