It's such lovely characterization continuity to see that same devotion shown again in "King", but this time, also from Dean's side. Since in Edlund's mind, 2014Cas had actually confessed his love and loyalty in such a profound (heh) way to pastDean, Dean's refusal to believe that Cas would betray him is put into an even more heartbreaking context.

Gads, I can't believe those idiots are even considering killing off such an amazing character and/or ruining what is, imo, the most layered, rich relationship on the show. Just because they screwed the pooch for a lot of us in how they brutally amputated the brotherly bond and then slapped a bandaid on the stump doesn't mean that now every other relationship should be thrown under the bus.
