What's a girl gotta do for some nice, quick, gratuitous, gen Dean-Cas h/c fic? Any suggestions? I'll take any hurt -- fevers, curses, gunshots, flus, you name it. Preferably Dean's the hurting one. But that's kinda screwed if Cas is still an angel, because he can just cure it. Hmmm. Sigh.

I've decided that I only have one thing on my S7 wishlist: I want Dean and Cas to hug. Just once, but with feeling. For heaven's sake. Isn't it about time? Hug it out, ya pretty bastards!

Back in 2009 I used to spend a lot of time reading every Dean/Cas fic I could get a hold of, a lot of it H/C. I wish I had it bookmarked.

Oh dear me, what an excellent rec. I'd never read that -- in fact I've only read a couple of Dean/Cas fics and they were both slash. I read it through real fast and I'll have to read it again more carefully and leave some feedback for the author. What wonderful use of imagery and language. It gave me chills. Thank you so much for pointing it out to me!

This one is a longer, multichap with some h/c mixed in there too. I just love her writing style (just a head's up that there are some grammatical errors, though) and the way she integrates other mythology/literary characters into the SPN universe. And the D/C stuff is hawt!

Sorry I'd gone to bed when you posted this - but I'm not much use to you there anyway as I have no idea. I had read it that it was at some undetermined period after Lucifer Rising but I could be wrong. I see it was written after Season 4 finished and before the start of Season 5...Other than that, I got nuthin'.

It must be post-Lucifer Rising but some things in it made me feel like it was more post "Monster at the End of This Book." I guess it's the author's creative license that has Dean winding up in the desert with Castiel.
