It's 9:05 so a little early for my "review" but can I just say I was so, so, SO not in the mood for a "high concept" episode tonight.

ETA: Dean had me there for a minute with the cataloguing of all his old scars but "rehymenated" is not a word I ever want to hear coming out of anyone's mouth once, much less TWICE in a row. My grossout face rivaled Sam's for sure. Not to mention it doesn't even make sense.

*scowls*

This calls for the Combover Pug icon.

ETA2: Okay, okay. Dean's kinda cute in lederhosen. Although that makes no sense either. Lederhosen, Edlund? Seriously?

ETA3: Dean in lederhosen looked like a little china doll standing next to his increasingly gigantic brother. Practically dainty.

You know, you've got a point. His episodes do always tend to be something he just feels like writing but doesn't necessarily have anything to do with Supernatural except that Sam and Dean happen to be there.

Does he have a producer credit or does he just write the occasional episode? He's not on staff, is he?

At least next week's episode looks freakin' fantastic.

Dean always looks extra small next to Sam when he's deprived of all his layers.

I dunno, I kinda liked having an "old school" episode thrown in. :-)

Next week looks FANTASTIC!

There's old school and then there's...lederhosen.

GOD, can't wait for next week. Now THAT looks up my alley!

True, true... I was born in Germany and had actual lederhosen! And my dad made me wear them!! I totally sympathized with Dean in that scene. LOL

Next week looks goooood.

I just thought the lederhosen were gratuitously silly. Jonathan Harker was English! Why would "Dracula" have dressed him up in traditional German folkwear? Don't mind me I'm just cranky.

Not to mention, I highly doubt that Dean wouldn't at least be familiar with the names "Mina" and "Harker." If nothing else he would have seen the Winona Ryder/Keanu Reeves version of the story!

I thought the exact same thing about Dean not knowing Mina and Harker. He def. would have seen that version of the film. And yes, lederhosen ARE gratuitously silly. And my parents have blackmail photos of me in them to prove it. God. *dies from shame*

Awwww, c'mom, it's a cool episode, Oselle. The boys need a break after the angst-fest of the past 4 episodes ...

*glomps you*

And Dean with a hymen. Is canon!!! *giggles hysterically*

I know, I know. I just wasn't in the mood for teh funneh last night and I wasn't expecting a whole "high concept" episode either. I did very much enjoy the perfectly done vintage credits, Dean was gorgeous in black and white (but I missed his green eyes and rosy pout very much) and he looked adorable in lederhosen (although I still say the lederhosen made no sense!!)

I suppose that Dean getting his cherry popped IS canon but it ain't some chick named Jamie who's gonna do it for him. Heh heh heh hehhhhhh.

I don't know the word 'rehymenated' and am too lazy to look it up.

The hymen is a piece of tissue at the opening of a woman's vagina and it generally gets torn when a woman has sex for the first time. Lately there's been a weird popularity for "hymen reconstruction," a plastic surgery procedure that literally rebuilds the hymen. Some women are doing this for cultural reasons (so they can be technical "virgins" whey they get married) and others are doing it for psychological reasons (so they can feel like a virgin again). It's all quite grotesque if you ask me. Surgically reconstructing something just so it can get ruptured? Ewww. So obviously Dean was being facetious here because men not only don't have hymens but don't lose anything physically when they have sex for the first time.

Oh my. Oh, ok, I see. Thank you.

Oh my goodness, Dean!
