I am still burned that WPIX in New York has decided to pre-empt what appear to be the two pivotal mid-season episodes of Supernatural -- this week's and next week's -- and if I'm not mistaken, the show goes on holiday hiatus after next week until January? Fuck you all over again, WPIX.

Here my Flist is buzzing like mad about last night's episode and I've let myself get spoiled like mad becaue I'm just so furious at being left out. And OMG the screencaps! Do we actually get to see Sam fixing Dean's Number One, All-Time Bestselling Fanfic Injury, The Dislocated Shoulder? AND I MISSED IT!!?!?! This is AGONY, people!

But what I've really been thinking, after reading some comments, is that the show went ahead and snuck a couple of love interests into the story while we weren't looking. Because Sam and Ruby are obviously lovers now (I don't buy that they only did it one desperate time) and it sounds like they're setting this Anna up to be some sort of romantic match for Dean. So what, we've got Sam/Ruby as the Demonic Couple of the Year and Dean/Anna as their angelic counterpart? Those writers are sneaky sonsofbitches, I'll give them that.

Really, I should wait until tomorrow night to pass judgement, but I'm already dismayed about this potential storyline. Romance bores me, especially in genre shows like this. The season started off so powerfully and I really hope it doesn't devolve into Sam and Dean and their girlfriends facing off. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Yes. November sweeps if you can believe that.

SPN posted some of its best ratings last night. Almost 4 million viewers, I don't think they've ever done that well. I doubt that the NY area will be added in after the fact but if it was then SPN may very well have had its best ratings ever last night. I'm happy for the show but EVEN MORE PISSED OFF AT WPIX.

I can't say about next week's episode but IMO Sam/Ruby is not a love-match, not during that summer, and not now. I for one would be very upset, and surprised, if they actually have feelings for each other. But of course, with Kripke, you never know.

You know what occurred to me? And god, I hope I'm wrong!

Please, please... if they make demon!Sam and Ruby have a baby, and angel!Dean and Anna have a baby...I will stop watching. Like, Lucifer wanted Sam all along to bring forth his Devil spawn, and Dean's baby is going to fight it?

Oh god, Kripke wouldn't do that to us. Would he??? *cringes at the thought*

I hope so too!

And umm. The second and third viewing I tend to want to skip Sam's part because I'm bad and wanky and only want to see Dean aka Jensen.
