I actually got off my ass tonight and went to see My Bloody Valentine with a couple of Jensen fangirls from work. OH MY GOD GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!

I've never seen anything in 3D before and let me tell you -- it is pretty fucking amazing. I don't know if I'll ever be able to watch a boring old 2D movie again. I thought it was going to be goofy and gimmicky and only interesting when something was coming straight at you, but it's more like watching a GIANT PLAY where all the actors are 20 feet high. You are IN the movie, and not just when things are deliberately flying at you I mean you are IN IT. It's like there's no "fourth wall" at all. So when Jensen's on the screen it's like HE'S STANDING RIGHT THERE and OMG EVEN PRETTIER IN 3D!!!!

It's gory as hell but it's such over-the-top movie gore that it's just pure theatrics. There's some extremely gratuitous female full-frontal nudity but frankly I expected to see a lot more tits in a movie like this and I didn't so that's cool. There is NO Jensen nudity at all but he does strip down to a beater at one point when he gets his lacerated shoulder (the LEFT shoulder, OF COURSE) stitched up. Jensen is very hot and very beautiful and very angsty throughout the whole thing and he's THREE DIMENSIONAL, BITCHES!!!

We thought it being a Monday night, a holiday and cold snowy weather would make us just about the only people in the place but the theater was PACKED. My friend had wisely purchased tickets online and it's a good thing she did because otherwise I don't think we would have gotten in. The audience was totally engaged with the movie, making with the "OH!s" and "EW!s" and "OH SHIT!s" at all the right moments. There were quite a few young kids in the theater and I don't know how the hell they got in because hello? R rating? But they didn't make any trouble. After the end credits rolled we were passed by a girl who was saying to her friends, "But did you not SEE Jensen?" to which my friend said, "Yes. Yes we did." And the girl turned around and laughed and said, "You must be Supernatural fans!" So it was nice that we turned out for our boy even in all the snow and drear of January. All in all an awesomely fun time and if you like Jensen even a little bit GO SEE THIS MOVIE because you will not be disappointed.

I'm surprised it was only #3 at the weekend box office because I went to see it three days after release and the theater was still packed.

Dude, that is awesome. I was planning on going to see it this week (because hello, 3-D and also Jensen) but I fully expected to like, suffer for my love of him and stuff, so it's nice to know that it's actually entertaining, too. Score!

It's blissfully short and very fast-paced so you won't even have to suffer long through the non-Jensen parts.
