I quit smoking in December (no kudos please, it was by necessity, not choice) and I've been looking around for a new vice to take the edge off my dreary existence. Supposed nice-girl baylorsr suggested public self-gratification but I thought the risk of arrest was too high, plus it's been damn cold out.

I decided to settle on drinking only to find out it's rather expensive. I used to buy wine so infrequently that I always bought something over $10 a bottle but if I'm going to make a habit out of this I've had to dig around for something cheaper and cheaper. The cheapest bottle I could find was $6.99 but all of a sudden it hit me...WINE IN A BOX. Three liters for $9.99, it's unbreakable, easy to carry home and it's like having a CHARDONNAY TAP IN YOUR FRIDGE. A TAP! OF CHARDONNAY!! Not to mention this cheap stuff packs a Thunderbird-like punch. More bang for your buck!

I need to jump on the box wine bandwagon. According to Consumer Reports, there are actually GOOD box wines to be had! And I'm sure it lasts longer than the bottle on my counter, which I can't drink all at once and ends up getting thrown out.

I don't know if this is one of the good ones but it sure is cheap and it gets the job done. Here it is Sunday and I still have half a box left!
