Well, the reports are coming in from the LA Con this weekend and it seems like the boys have served up yet another delicious helping of suggestive bromantic homoeroticism to yank our collective chains or cruelly mock us or sekritly divulge their passionate love for each other or all of the above.

I mean, seriously, people. Jensen said this...JENSEN not Jared, said THIS:

"Jared and I had our own wrap party last night." Then he smirked and added "That's why I'm having a hard time moving around this morning."

There were rumors -- based on a blind item, I think, which was never really attributed to Jared -- that Jared wanted off the show, that the set was kind of a miserable place, Jensen had moved out, etc. And Misha seemed to be doing ALL the publicity lately, and the Js weren't doing anything much together OR alone, which tended to -- if not support the theory, at least make it NOT entirely unbelievable. (The blind item actually had Jared SPURNING his male lover and going with his publicist's plan to date Genevieve instead, blah blah. I was less concerned about that confabulation than with the idea that the boys didn't get along all of a sudden. THAT made ME miserable.)

Anyway, I'm so glad to see them having fun. I'm kinda one of those people who really doesn't want to hear ANYTHING negative -- I want to believe that they are BFF, that the set is an awesome happy-filled place, and as long as I can keep believing that, I'm happy, too. ;)

I agree with you about wanting SPN to be a happy set. One of the things I've loved most about getting into this fandom was finding out that J & J really are great friends and that they enjoy working together and that everyone puts their heart into what they're doing and has a lot of fun. I think if people are miserable behind the scenes it eventually affects the show -- there's just no way it doesn't start to bleed through. So I agree with you that what's important is not blind items about who's living with/having an affair with whom but whether or not they still enjoy working together...which all appearances suggest they do. :)

I hadn't heard any of those rumors of unhappiness either 'til these com reports started coming out, and I was pretty surprised at myself at how much I wanted them TO BE HAPPY ALL THE TIME (and DIRTY). Because, you know, they have a right to fight, and be unhappy with their jobs, etc., like the rest of us. But no--I want them to BE HAPPY ALL THE TIME (and DIRTY). They must shoulder that burden!

I think I read that at the moment they have no plans for hiatus but I don't know if they meant personal plans or acting projects. Maybe they'll just spend the whole summer with each other and be ALL CUTE (AND DIRTY).

I was at the con and man, those two were a riot together. There was no signs of tension and imo, seemed even more relaxed and happy than last year. There was LOTS of joking and good natured teasing. One fan asked Jared whether he had ever tried pickles stuffed with fried rice. Jensen started laughing so much, he couldn't stop. He actually put his head down, trying to control himself but then he'd look over at Jared laughing and start up again. It was awesome.

The longest con report I saw was at juice817's journal. I'm convinced that Jensen wanted to beat Jared to saying something outrageous, since it's usually Jensen's who's left cringing over Jared's inappropriateness. I wish I knew what JARED's reaction was to that remark.
