Shit We Need To See
Jun. 17th, 2009 10:39 pmDo you think we're ever going to see a flashback of Sam burying Dean in his pine box there in the inexplicable backwoods of Illinois and then jamming that crazy hacked-up cross into the fresh earth over Dean's grave? We so totally got cheated out of that.

Date: 2009-06-18 06:18 pm (UTC)I wonder what flashbacks we will get in S5...The flashback eps have been progressing forward in time. So, since we had a HS one in S4, I was wondering whether we'd see the primal scene: the pre-Stanford break-up...Probably not, though, since no JDM, etc.

Date: 2009-06-18 11:21 pm (UTC)I think they could do the Stanford breakup even without JDM. I say they draw inspiration from the beloved fanon standby of "Dean takes Sam to the bus station." I mean hell, they write dumb shit from messageboards into their scripts, maybe they should try lifting some of the good stuff.

Date: 2009-06-22 06:57 pm (UTC)It's been driving me *nuts* that we don't know why Sam and Bobby did what they did. It does have a coolness factor, but I want a reasonable explanation (even if the explanation is unreasonable, y'know?) I mean, they put Dean's body in the Impala and drove it many miles away, changed his clothes (which means he was buried with specific items and Sam kept the amulet with him--and I want to see a flashback of Sam wearing it, not just pulling it out of his shirt to give back to Dean), made a casket and cross of sorts--I think it was quick and temporary because Sam really believed Dean wouldn't be there long. And did Sam ever go back and visit Dean's grave?
Man, we were so cheated! Ahem. *looks over comment* Oh dear, my apologies for the wordiness, but it all just bugs me.
Anyway, please let me know about asking your question--thanks very much!

Date: 2009-06-23 12:09 am (UTC)Of COURSE you can use the question -- I'm sure I'm not the only person who's thought of it. As you've pointed out, they went through quite a bit of trouble just to plant Dean in the middle of nowhere, and in a place that (as far as we know) had no special significance. Not to mention what on earth would have happened if a shopping mall or interstate had suddenly gone up over Dean's gravesite, for heaven's sake? So PLEASE, do ask away...and let me know if you get an answer!
And did Sam ever go back and visit Dean's grave?
Hmph, after what they did with Sam's character, any evidence of genuine grieving on his part would require some serious retconning. But maybe that's just me.
I want to see it filmed!
Yeah, you and me both. I have a fantasy cast for it and everything. HA.

Date: 2009-06-24 08:39 pm (UTC)Eeep, I hadn't even thought what if Dean's grave ended up in the middle of an urban expansion project! =:-O
Thanks, I was not in on the early days' naming of the podcast, but they chose a great one--suits the boys, esp. Dean. :-) Hope you'll get a chance to listen sometime, we have fun and try to be both fair and honest with more than a modicum of gentle snarkiness (or, in my case, not-so-gentle on occasion). ;-)
Who would you cast? (Chad Michael Murray as Dean? heeee!)
*runs before Oselle's smacks her*

Date: 2009-06-28 11:11 pm (UTC)OF COURSE.
Seriously though I had various actors in mind when I was writing most of the OCs. Like July was Danny Glover and Buddy was Jack Lemmon (I know he's dead, this is my fantasy cast) &tc.
