Enjoy Your Weekend

I promised myself I'd be productive today and I've already spent 90 minutes on this fucking laptop. I HAVE THINGS TO DO. I need to leave you all to your own devices at least for a few days, but I don't want to leave you with nothing to do. Please feel free to avail yourself of the entertainment behind the cut.

This picture makes me think that I would very much enjoy having intimate relations with this rather disheveled-looking, thigh-holster-sporting gentleman. Preferably many such relations, and very intimately. Or perhaps to be more accurate, I'd like this guy to bang me into such a blissful state of satisfied stupefaction that I would have to relearn the alphabet.
Have a nice weekend.

Date: 2009-11-23 12:04 am (UTC)Where the heck is YOUR icon from??
no subject
Date: 2009-11-23 12:25 am (UTC)And wow I've had this icon for like forever... It is back to the Wendigo days I believe. LOL.
They were so young and innocent back then.

Date: 2009-11-23 02:08 am (UTC)Season One seems like it was a whole lot more than four years ago.

Date: 2009-11-23 02:14 am (UTC)Yup that boy grew up in those 4 years.
And it does seem like forever ago, but on another side, I can't believe it has already been 4/5 years. Can't believe I've been so invested in this show for so long. LOL. What am I gonna do next year??!!! NNnoooooo!!!!

Date: 2009-11-23 02:49 am (UTC)I don't think you have to worry too much about next year. I'm thinking Season Six is pretty much a lock at this point.

Date: 2009-11-23 03:20 am (UTC)As for S6. I know that the Network is all for it most likely and that Kripke is seriously considering it and so are a lot of people. I know they've been pitching ideas here and there as to how to keep going after the APocalypse and make it acceptable. I also know that a lot of people here in VC are not willing to do another season and said they wouldn't be part of it (of course they say that now, but facing S6 & no job... LOL) and I'm convinced that changing the team can change the feeling of a Show. So, as much as I want it to go on, I don't know if I'd be happy with it. What I've heard as a possible plotline to keep going doesn't satisfy me because I've come to love the Angst and the complicated storyline and it would have none of it. I'm not ready to go back to a S1 type of show. LOL. I want complicated mythology!! And I don't know how they can pull that one... but oh how I wish they do!! By all means, DO keep the angst coming!!
Wow... sorry... I got carried away here. LOL. And I'm not sure I make much sense, especially since I hate re-reading myself. :P Damm you Show for taking me where I didn't plan to go!

Date: 2009-11-25 02:30 am (UTC)Are these things you've heard from the show's writers/producers or things fans have been speculating upon? Because I've heard some fandom speculation that S6 would go back to a straightforward MoTW format closer to S1, but I don't usually follow interviews with show staff so I don't know if that's been confirmed by the show.
I don't think SPN would hold my attention long if there wasn't SOME larger mytharc to knit the story together, not to mention it would be damn near impossible to do 22 straight MoTW episodes. It would just get repetitive. Even S1 had mytharc episodes that revolved around John and the YED. Nevertheless, if the CW wants to keep them around for a sixth season, I'm not sure what they could do about it. I don't know how these things work. I know the co-creators of Gilmore Girls both refused to be a part of Season 7, and Larry David bailed on the last season of Seinfeld so it is possible for creators to walk away from a show that remains in production. I don't know how such an event would affect SPN. I sometimes think that Eric Kripke is not exactly the strongest creative link at that show, and it wouldn't necessarily suffer without him the way Gilmore and Seinfeld suffered without their creators. I don't know who would go with Kripke if he left. The worst thing would be if either Jensen or Jared left -- the show is built upon the brothers and it just won't work if one of them isn't there anymore.
If it's purely up to the CW, I'm sure there will be a sixth season. Who'll stick around to make it happen, that's the question. I know a lot of them have said (quite vehemently) that they don't want to do another season but like you said, if it's a choice between a sixth season and being unemployed, they might go with the former. But I don't want anyone to do a sixth season if they're just going to be phoning it in. That's just depressing.

Date: 2009-11-25 05:00 am (UTC)(damm we went all meta crazy with my roomie... if Kripke doesn't right Luci!Bobby post Apocalypse, we are. LOL. We were already planning to do it last season, but now your post-Apo idea makes it even better!! \0/)
I have no idea about the behind the scene contracts stuff. I believe Jensen & Jared don't want to do S6, but are so far contracted to. I imagine though that it's possible to break a contract if they really want to. Buy you last year somehow. And I don't think anyone would want SN without these two. Not the other one, not the crew/staff, not the fans, not the CW... Then again money usually overrules a lot of things and loyalty is no exception. Sadly.
As for the writers, I believe even if Kripke left, it could work if they kept most of them around. but like you said, this whole thing is Eric's baby and I don't know who would like to stay behind without him. (Here's hoping that he wouldn't want it to be done without him aswell. HAHA)
In the end, I guess I just want an extra season like this one with everyone happy to be there and get it done.
And now that I think about it... I'm not Jared is that happy lately. I found his acting off in the past 2 eps. Or maybe it was just the way Sam was written. I don't know. Anyway, we have 2 months to wonder. And I have to investigate further. LOL.
Yeah that took much longer to write than it should have. Sorry. :P

Date: 2009-11-25 10:41 pm (UTC)I know that J & J have in the past expressed no desire to go past a 5th season but lately I've heard them mitigating that opposition. So they might be locked into a sixth season, especially if the CW threw enough money at them. I think that if the scripts are good enough they'll be less opposed to Vancouver's relative isolation and gloomy weather. If Jensen gets hitched after S5, which I suspect he will, he may want to move to Los Angeles but he should be reminded that David Duchovny did the same thing and it didn't exactly further his career. I am old and wise and I know these things.

Date: 2009-11-26 04:44 am (UTC)But yes, I'll make sure to let him know about our doubts and suggest he passes it to Kripke. Which he most surely will. He is old and wise as you are. LMAO!!!
I'm afraid I won't be of much help for the job thing as it didn't work for me. Haha. Of course I think I'm lacking the lengthy resume to begin with. ^^
I don't know where you'd be coming from but "gloomy Vancouver weather" is an understatement!! I don't think we've seen this thing people call the... "sun" I believe it is... at all this month... nope, not that I can recall. ;) Think twice before packing!
(oh look what I found... this reply I wrote 6 hours ago... *facepalm*)

Date: 2009-11-25 03:08 am (UTC)But then would it mean that they don't stop the Apocalypse and that Sam says yes? Or Luci finds a new suitable vessel to hold the distance?
There is some exploring to do here.
I always thought Bobby would be awesome as Luci. :D Yes, I'm twisted like that. So I would be right there watching Bobby tear up the world while Sam & Dean do some damage control until they can get him back. And it would be so much harder on Sam and on Dean. Ohhh dear Man Pain how I miss you.
