Thanks for nothing
Feb. 10th, 2010 06:40 amDear Mother Nature,
I live in New York City and I hate my job. I hate my whole life too, but let's stick to you.
The next time you want to come barrel-assing up the East Coast, looking like a monstrous storm system that threatens to drop 18 inches on the aforementioned New York City, I'd really appreciate it if you would actually HIT NEW YORK CITY. Because I was really, really hoping for a day off today and up until 10:00 last night I was still hearing about "February Fury!" and train cancellations and school closings and I look out my window this morning and see...a couple of inches of ugly, sadsack slush. And right now, it's not even coming down anymore.
So hey, how about it? Give Oselle a snow day. And not on a fucking weekend or holiday either, okay, you snarky bitch? On a fucking WEEKDAY. A WORKDAY.
Off to work,
Oselle
PS: Don't even THINK about getting cute and ramping up this storm in the middle of the afternoon so that it'll take me two hours to get home tonight and then cutting it off so that I still have to go to work TOMORROW. That would be JUST like you. You're making me feel not so bad about the whole global warming thing.
