Poll on Story Format

I hate that LJ has character limitations on its posts because I invariably wind up having to carve up a chapter into parts. This annoys me because first of all, I don't like the way it looks or flows, and second, I then have to dig through the chapter to find a good place to break it. And then I wonder if maybe that chapter SHOULD have been two (or three) chapters in the first place, if that would have been more natural and easier to read. Tell me what you think...

I am on hiatus but I'm doing okay and I can do the computer as long as I'm not on it too long and I've got a whole lapdesk thing so I don't have to crane my neck down at it. Thanks for asking!

If a story is good, its format in terms of its chapters doesn't bother me much.

#1: Short chapters enable me to read directly on screen. Long chapters require me to save them first. So either will be okay with me.

#2: I'm lucky I have a sister who is diligently saving long stories. :D
