They tell me you gotta have a Twitter. Well, I'm @ljoselle.

I do NOT think it will replace LJ. Oselle likes to talk, not twat.

Wow. I can feel your enthusiasm for this new communication medium radiating through the screen. :)

So what will you be tweeting about, then? Just some random entry about Jensen's beauty only being eclipsed by Dean's, and see how many people follow in agreement?

Or is this for work? I remember that post about people asking if you blog or tweet in job interviews now. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't like the idea of my coworkers logging in specifically to read about my private life and personal thoughts. That's why I don't do Facebook or MySpace - I like LJ's anonymity.

I set up a completely separate account for work. We're doing some kind of Twitter "event" next month and I want to participate. I wouldn't share my personal Twitter with work any more than I'd share LJ. Eeek.

What will I be tweeting about? Whatever random bullshit crosses my mind in 140 characters or less.

I have a Twitter account, but I never use it, because I have an ancient cell phone that doesn't "do" twitter. I got the account mainly to follow Nathan Fillion and Misha. :D

Edit: I can get to your Twitter page, but when I click "Follow" it tells me there's a problem and I can't follow you. :(

Hm. Keep trying I guess. I know that I don't have any privacy blocks, so anyone should be able to follow me. I wish I could be of more help, but as far as Twitter goes, I'm an ignoramus.

Ha! I tried to add you but Twitter seems broken for the moment. (BTW I'm under a different name there.) Looking forward to the wit and repartee.

Yeah, I was having weird issues with it when I set up my work account.

Congrats on your twat. :D

I had a couple of milestones, too. I finally joined Facebook and got an i-Phone. I know, it's hard not being above it all any more. :)

Yeah, I've been meaning to upgrade my ancient Virgin Mobile flip phone, just because it's at the point where it's embarrassing to have a device like that. God forbid I ever pulled that out at a job interview. It pisses me off though -- having to get something significantly more costly just because everyone else has one. We've all become overgrown teenagers.

I agree! But you're right about the job interview aspect. It's a dead giveaway you're not as young or au courant as they might think.

I have one and I got it to follow news and tv/movie info and stuff, even though most days I suck at following it because you have to be on there 24/7 in order to really not miss anything. I try to tweet occasionally, but I prefer the lj format.

So if you see @MrsDeWinter_2 following you, that's me. ;)

I'll probably follow my followers, but I have no intention of following jarpad or misha or anyone else! I already spend too much time with this laptop cooking my knees.

Welcome to the insanity! I'm amberdreaming on twitter.

Misha's not bad to follow- he only tweets something every few weeks and it's usually quite sardonic/witty. JPad's tweets have been heavy into promoting the Brian Buckley Band and his new buddy, Zach Levy. I was hoping we'd get some BTS stuff (especially with Jensen directing) but there's been nothing.

I am pretty sure that Jared primarily joined Twitter as place to promote his (and his wife's) friends/business ventures.

You know this means J will be getting a twitter next. Look what you've done, woman! Will you now be writing Dean/Cas porn in a 140 characters or less? No?

Considering my last Dean/Cas epic wound up being about 75,000 words, I don't think Twitter is conducive to porn.

I've gotta say the Twitter thing is fun for blurting out shit or following real-time events (like the San Diego Comic Con panel) but so far it seems to be a pretty antisocial social medium. And I kind of wish I could block the people that my followers are following or filter my tweets.

This is a valid point. Someone once was saying how she didn't get that you could write porn in 140 characters or less - so I did, just to see if I could. Then I was both ashamed/proud of myself.

Twitter seems like the bastard child of that devil, Facebook. I refuse to get any of them. How do people keep up with all of that stuff? Why do these things make me feel like a cranky old lady?

And I kind of wish I could block the people that my followers are following or filter my tweets.

You can't friends-lock?

Also, you haven't yet just randomly tweeted "4-9-4". I feel somehow cheated.

Have you seen this yet? Is Misha trying to bite Jensen, lick Jensen or is he blowing on the back of Jensen's neck? You decide.

If I were Misha, I'd be trying to do all three. Or perhaps he's trying to count Jensen's freckles, as he claims Castiel is trying to do when he stares at Dean with such infamous intensity.

You can't friends-lock?

You can only block, but you can't flock. You're really just...out there in the open. It's kind of sucky.

Also, you haven't yet just randomly tweeted "4-9-4".

J. can have first dibs on that.
