For the first time, I didn't even know when the premiere date was, and when I found out, I didn't even bother to download it, and then, for the first time for anything EVER, I read spoilers instead. Spoilers, and fic that should be canon instead.
I was mostly excited about it because a friend was coming over to watch it with me, and I was looking forward to hanging out with her. You didn't miss anything.
Huh. That's strange. I remember reading someone on my f-list mention that they were on Twitter with a bunch of people and that Misha or Castiel even trended in the US.
Of course, that wasn't the epic luciferisrising campaign though :-)
I follow very few people on Twitter, and my trending list is on the Worldwide default, so I might have missed some gab, but I saw more people talking about Fringe on Friday night than SPN.
I didn't see it until Saturday and I looked at my flist first just to get a sense of whether people were gnashing their teeth or excited given what I know about them and amazingly, I found nothing at all!
True! I enjoyed it but then I was like... hmm. And in theory Castiel was entertaining and Death and Crowley were entertaining so why do I have trouble even remembering what happened? Was it just too much Sam's wall? Well that didn't help and it looks like more wall is coming. Also Dean was curiously unemotional. Plus, Dean's jumpsuit.
Also I'm trying to figure out if I'd already decided Castiel was evil!crazy but show made him slightly moral kind of evil!crazy until the end reveal which made him the kind of crazy I think I thought he'd been all along.
Geez. Wonder what the ratings numbers will look like? I'm guessing not good.
I don't know how much more proof the writers and producers need that perhaps the show's current suckage level is their fault? I mean, the actors are just as hunky and viewing audiences are still fascinated with all things supernatural (True Blood, anyone?) yet this show barely registers as a cyberchatter blip.
Of course, the diehard fans are probably making a big deal about 'New Boss,' somewhere. Or are you saying even THEY couldn't be bothered to post?!

I was pretty on board with all the smiting that Godstiel was doing. Real God ought to get down here and do some of that.
Actually one thing I did like was when he put himself in the stained glass window. That was cute.
