That episode, especially the ending, demonstrated all three major hallmarks of any Dabb/Loflin effort: it was nasty, it was stupid, and it made Dean look like a nasty, stupid dick. And now these two morons are producers?
I actually found the ep pretty good , I liked Amy and sam friendship !! BUT I hated Dean at the end even though I undrestand why he did it , but it was so cold and heartless killing Amy and leaving the kid with the body of his dead mother :(
So that's why this episode left a sour taste in my mouth despite how much I love Wee!chester flashbacks. I should've paid more attention to the writing credit.
Is it wrong that the best part of the ep for me was Dean's arm shooting through the doorway and knocking Sam flat on his ass? That and Dean being reckless/bullheaded/awesome enough to saw off his own cast?
They got one thing right; when Sam is having a Hell flashback, all we see is the horror on his face. Don't show us what he's seeing, leave it to our varied, fertile imaginations or else it'll just look lame.
Looks like we're back to the same old shit. *Sigh.*

About the only thing that could keep me interested right now would be an announcement that Padalecki is being replaced by the kid who plays teen-Sam. Now that boy can act -- and I don't have to avert my eyes when he appears on the screen.
The only person that kid is going to kill is the 'monster' that killed his mother...the writers just made Dean that kid's YED. Yeah, so stupid and disgusting.
