Wow, you know, wow. I'd really like to know how it's possible that I can work with someone who conducts herself like a pissy little teenage drama queen and be told that it's because she's "frustrated" by the sort of work she has to do -- which is, primarily, my work.

Excuse the fuck out of me. Since when is it any company's or supervisor's responsibility to make certain that an employee's work is tailored to her particular taste, or else have to tolerate that employee not only having a shockingly uncooperative attitude but producing shit work as well? Hmm? The work is the work. It needs to fucking get done and that's all there is to it. And anyone who doesn't find it entertaining or fulfilling has a responsiblity either to put up with it -- quietly -- or get the fuck out. I'm sick of this shit. I'm sick of coddling little pissant brats and tiptoeing around their delicate, presumptuous, self-entitled sensiblities and trying to ensure that they "enjoy" their work enough to do a good job. I've hated every goddamn job I ever had, and sure as shit no one ever went out of their way to cater to me or make sure that I was entertained -- nor would I ever, in a million years, have expected anyone to do so. I dealt with it or I left. Period.

Good-fucking-night.

Yeah, I know people keep saying it's a generation thing, but I'm not sure about that. I think it's something particular to this individual. I've worked with plenty of other young people who were hard-working and pleasant no matter what they had to do. And SHE IS NOT THAT YOUNG. She is 30 years old. I don't think she even qualifies as "Generation Z." She's just a spoiled rotten 12-year-old who never grew up and I simply don't know why it's tolerated.
