Seriously, I have been thinking about this picture since I saw it yesterday. Does anyone know when/where this was taken? It looks like it's from a con a few years ago but the con appearances sort of blur together for me.

I see pictures like this and I understand why there's such a disproportionate number of fics in this fandom where Jared is safeguarding or rescuing or just generally taking care of Jensen. You know, at first I thought it was just the height thing that people were picking up on. But Jared really does have this way of looking at Jensen that's very caring, that's almost...protective.

Oh, Double-J. I'll always be true to you.

Yes. Jensen is such a rare and delicate flower that he needs a sort of pit crew of buddies to look out for him. Or maybe he's just s'darn purty that EVERYBODY LOVES HIM.

*laughs* It's nuts, because he's a big strong guy, but somehow, working in Jared's looming shadow brings out the protective streak. Profusely.

I don't recognize that moving-out thing as fact in my universe, thank you. In Emland they are still happily copulating co-habitating.

Yes, I think it all comes down to the looming. Jared is basically so tall that he winds up looking like anyone's bodyguard. It doesn't help that there's something so vulnerable-seeming about Jensen. I don't know if it's because he's so pretty or because he always looks so uncomfortable at these functions but Jared's just like his seven-foot life preserver.

I don't recognize that moving-out thing as fact in my universe, thank you.
